Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 medium apples (for about 1/2 cup fresh apple puree)
  • 1/4 butternut squash (for about 1 cup squash puree)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries
  • juice of 1/2 lemon (1 1/2 to 2 tablespoons juice)
  • juice of 1 orange (appr. 1/3 cup juice)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup purified water

Preparation

Step 1

1. Peel apples and cut into chunks.
2. Peel butternut squash and cut into chunks.
3. In a steamer pot, boil 4 cups water. Steam the apples and butternut squash for 12 minutes or until soft.
4. Put the steamed apples and butternut squash in a blender, and puree until smooth.
5. Add the dried cranberries, lemon juice, ornage juice, wheat germ, honey and water. Blend until smooth (Note: If the mixture is too thick, add some more water)
6. Pour mixture into chosen pop molds and put sticks in place. Freeze until solid.
