  • 2 chickens -- cut up
  • 2 Tablespoons oil
  • 1 large onions -- diced
  • 1 box mushrooms -- sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic -- minced
  • 2 Tablespoons potato starch
  • 2 cups semi dry white wine

Preparation

Step 1

Place chicken in pans and sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Saute onions in oil until clear. Add garlic and mushrooms.Simmer over low flame 10-15 minutes. Stir in potato starch and mix well. Add the wine. Cook and stir until mixture is thickened (about 10-15 minutes). Pour sauce over chicken.

Bake covered for 1 hour at 350. Remove cover and cook for another 30-60 minutes, basting every 15 minutes.

Sauce may be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated overnight.
