Ingredients

  • 3 cups coarsely chopped peeled ripe mango -- (about 4 mangos)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice -- (about 6 limes)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange rind

Preparation

Step 1

Combine all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and process until smooth.

Press mango mixture through a sieve over a bowl, discarding solids. Pour mixture into an 8 inch square baking dish, cover and freeze for 4 hours or until firm. Place mixture in a food processor and process until slushy. Freeze for 3 house. Soften slightly in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
