Ingredients
- 1 pound soup bones or flanken
- 2 cups split peas
- 1 cup barley
- 1 or 2 onions
- 3 carrots -- sliced
- 2 potatoes -- optional
- 2 Tablespoons fresh dill
- 2 or 3 parsnips -- cut up
- Salt and pepper -- to tatste
