Ingredients

    cup butter

  • 4

    (1oz.) squares of unseetned chocolate; chopped

  • 3

    cups(18oz.) semisweet chocolate chips- divided

  • 1/1

    /2 cup flour

  • 1/2

    tsp. baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp. salt

  • 4

    large eggs

  • 1

    / 1/2 cup sugar

  • 2

    tsp. vanilla

  • 2

    cups chopped pecans; toasted

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees 1. Combine butter, unsweetened chocolate and 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips in heavy saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly,until butter and chocolate melt; cool. 2. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in small bowl; set aside. 3. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla in medium mixing bowl at med. speed with electric mixer. Gradually add flour mixture to egg mixture; beat well. 4. Stir in remaining 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips and pecans. 5. Chill for 15m. drop dough by 2 Tablespoons 1" apart on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. 6. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack to cool completely.
