  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 quarts strawberries -- (about 8 cups)
  • 1/2 cup lemon lime soda

Step 1

In a saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring to a boiling over medium high heat; cook and stir for 1 minute. Remove from heat; stir until sugar is dissolved. Let stand until cool, about 30 minutes.

In a food processor, combine strawberries and soda. Process until smooth. Add sugar and process again. Pour into 9x13" pan; freeze for 4 hours or until frozen solid.

Spoon sorbet into food processor. Process briefly until smooth, but not melted. Spoon back into pan and freeze for 1 or 2 hours.
