Spicy Sweet Potatoes

• 2 sweet potatoes -- peeled, cubed
• 2 Tablespoons margarine
• 1 Tablespoon hot sauce -- or to taste
• 1 Tablespoon cider vinegar
• 1 Tablespoon ketchup
• 1 Tablespoon barbecue sauce
• Salt
• 1/2 clove garlic
• 1 Tablespoon minced onion
