Ingredients
- 1 pound 95% lean ground beef
- 1/3 cup crushed nacho cheese-flavored tortilla chips
- 1/3 cup salsa
- 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 4 slices low fat Cheddar OR Monterey Jack cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat broiler. In a medium bowl, blend together ground beef, tortilla chips, salsa, cilantro and onion; shape into 4 burgers. Arrange patties on the rack of a broiler pan 4 inches from heat source; broil for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until centers are no longer pink, turning once. Place 1 slice of cheese on each burger during the last minute of broiling.
LC SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve a big green salad on the side.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve patties on whole wheat burger buns. Add corn on the cob.
KOSHER: Use your favorite soy cheese.
GLUTEN FREE: Make sure tortilla chips are gluten free.
