Ingredients
- Crushed red pepper helps this sauce live up to its name
- 1 medium onion, finely
- chopped (1/2 cup)
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons crushed red
- pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive or cooking oil
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 6-ounce can tomato paste
- 1 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme, crushed continued
- Vi cup unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar

Step 1
Place undrained pineapple in blender container. Cover and blend till finely chopped. In medium saucepan stir together pineapple and remaining ingredients. Cook and stir just till mixture boils; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, about 5 minutes or till sauce reaches desired consistency. Makes 1% cups.
