Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter ( softened )
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package(s) REESE'S Peanut Butter Cups ( 10 oz bag, Heart shaped, (unwrap about 20) )

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°. In a medium bowl cream together, butter, peanut butter, 1/2 cup sugar and brown sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Gently stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Form dough into 2 inch balls and roll in 3 TBSP sugar. Place then on a cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 6 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately press one heart into the center of the cookie. Bake for exactly one more minute. (The heart will still keep it's shape.) Let them cool completely before serving.
