Ingredients

  • Glaze:
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups sifted flour
  • 2/3 cup cut-up fresh orange slices, with white skin left on (1 large or 2 small oranges)
  • 2/3 cup cut-up pecans
  • Gratedrind of 1 orange
  • 2/3 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cream

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugar and eggs 3 minutes, high spped on mixer. Stir in flour. Fold in orange pieces and pecans. Spread thinly in greased jelly rolll panl, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1".

Bake 30-35 minutes, until a golden caramel color and firm to touch. While warm, spread very thinly with glaze. Cool in pan. when cool, cut in 2 x 1 1/2" bars.
