Ingredients

    cup sugar

  • 3/4

    cup solid shortening

  • 3/4

    cup molasses

  • 1

    tsp salt

  • 1

    tst baking soda

  • 1

    tsp ground ginger

  • 1/4

    tsp ground nutmeg

  • 14

    tsp allspice

  • 2

    tbs water

  • 3 1/4

    cup flour

Directions

1 blend sugar and shortening 2 add molasses, salt, baking soda, ginger nutmeg and allspice 3 stir in water and flour 4 mix well and chill in refrigerator before rolling out 5 after chilled rll out to about 1/4" thick 6 cut pieces as planned 7 bake on ungreased cokkie sheet at 50 degrees for 15-20 minutes
