Ingredients

  • 8 slices of thick cut bacon
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cup mozzarella, shredded
  • 10 oz. can diced tomatoes with chilies, drained

Preparation

Step 1

Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until slightly crispy. Remove and allow to drain on a paper towel.
Chop when cooled to the touch then drain the bacon grease and leave 1 tbsp in the skillet.
Add the onion to the pan and season with salt, pepper, and brown sugar, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes
Stir in the garlic and cook for another 30 seconds to 1 min.
Mix the cream cheese and sour cream together in the insert of the slow cooker then add in the mozzarella cheese, onions, bacon and diced tomatoes.
Heat on high for 1-2 hours or until warm and cheese has melted.
Serve with chips or crackers
