Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground turkey or beef
- 1 onion
- 8 cloves garlic -- finely chopped
- 4 teaspoons chili paste
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 12 ounces water chestnuts -- finely diced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- GINGER SAUCE
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 Tablespoon peeled fresh ginger slivered
- 2 teaspoons scallion whites -- finely chopped
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/3 plus 1 T. honey
- 1 3/4 cups pineapple juice
- 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons water

Preparation
Step 1
Dice onion and saute until transparent. Add garlic and continue to cook. Add chili paste and brown sugar. When mix is dissolved, remove from heat and set aside.
Place onion mixture in a food processor and pulse briefly. Add other ingredients.
Form little meatballs and bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. Serve with ginger sauce.
Ginger Sauce: In a medium saucepan over high heat, place pineapple juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, ginger and garlic. Bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in water. While mixing well, pour into boiling sauce, slowly, until thickened consistency is reached. Remove from heat.
