Ingredients
- 2-1/2 -3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 package yeast
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 1 teaspoon finely shredded orange peel
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 1 slightly beaten egg white

Step 1
In small mixer bowl, combine 1 cup flour and the yeast. In small saucepan heat milk, water, sugar, butter or margarine, orange peel and salt just until warm and butter is almost melted, stirring constantly. Add to flour mixture, add the 1 egg. Beat with electric mixer on low speed for 1/2 minute, scraping bowl. Beat on high for 3 minutes. Using spoon, stir in as much of remaining flour as possible. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Knead in enough of the remaining flour to make a moderately stiff dough that is smooth and elastic (6-8 minutes). Shape into ball. Place in lightly greased bowl, turn once. Cover, let rise in warm place until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down.
Divide dough into individual rolls or loaf, whichever you prefer. Let rest 10 more minutes. Place dough on greased baking sheet. Cover let rise in warm place until nearly double (35-45 minutes). Brush dough with egg white. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.
