BANANA CAKE

I have had this reciepe for at least 27 years.This cake is a very dense cake , but so delicious !!

Ingredients

  • DRY INGRIEDIANTS:
  • 2 CUPS FLOUR, SIFTED
  • 1 TSP BAKING SODA
  • 1 TSP BAKING POWDER
  • SCANT OF SALT
  • CREAM INGRIEDIANTS:
  • 1/2 CUP BUTTER
  • 1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR
  • 2 EGGS
  • 1 CUP SOUR MILK ( 1 CUP MILK PLUS A LITTLE BIT OF VINEGAR)
  • 1 TSP VANILLA (SEPERATE)
  • 2 OR 3 MASHED BANANAS (REAL CREAMY)
  • CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
  • 2 CUPS POWDERED SUGAR
  • 1 - 8 OZ CREAM CHEESE, SOFT
  • 1/4 CUP MARGERINE
  • 1 TSP VANILLA
  • COMBINE UNTIL FLUFFY.

Step 1


PUT SOUR MILK & VANILLA IN DRY INGREIDIANTS. THEN ADD BOTH DRY & CREAM INGRIEDIANTS, THEN AFTER MIXING THAT, PUT MASHED BANANAS IN, BAKE AT 350 FOR 35 MINUTES. WHEN COOL, FROST WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING
