Bread Pudding (Grandma's)

This is Toodie's translation of Grandma's recipe, which was written in Italian. The baking time is Toodie's best estimate.

Ingredients

• 2 cups milk
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 Tbsp vanilla
• 5 slices of bread
• butter

Preparation

Step 1

Beat first four ingredients together. Cut bread into small pieces. Add bread to egg mixture. Pour into greased casserole. Lay slices of butter on top. Bake in moderate oven at least 45 minutes.
