Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 stick margarine or butter -- melted
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups (9 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 325. Grease a 9x9x2 inch pan or 11x7x2 inch pan.
Sift the flour, baking powder and salt into medium bowl and set aside.
Put the melted margarine and brown sugar in a large bowl and stir with mixing spoon until the brown sugar is evenly moistened with the margarine. The mixture will be thick. Add the eggs and vanilla and stir until the eggs are completely blended and the mixture looks smooth. Add the flour mixture and stir until just combined and there is no loose flour. The batter will be thick. Stir in the chocolate chips. Scrape the batter into the pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 35 minutes until toothpick comes out dry or only slightly moist. Cool on wire rack about 1 hour.
