Pie Crust, Crusinart Recipe
- 1-1/3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 stick (4 oz.) cold butter
- 1 teaspoon salt (less if salted butter is used)
- 1 tablespoons sugar (optional)
- 1/4 cup ice water
In food processor, use steel knife. Cut butter into 7 or 8 pieces and add to food processor work bowl. Add all other ingredients except for ice water.
Process until consistency of coarse meal (5 to 10 seconds).
With machine running, pour in water and process until dough forms a ball.
May be used immediately.
MAKES 2 CRUSTS
