Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons grated onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 4 pickles -- cut into 1/4" round slices
  • 1/3 cup parsley flakes
  • 1/4 cup minced celery leaves

Preparation

Step 1

Mix ground meat, egg, onion, salt, pepper and 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. Shape into small balls. Place a round slice of pickle in the center of each ball.

In a separate plate, mix parsley and celery flakes and remaining 1/2 cup of bread crumbs. Roll meatballs in crumb mixture, coating evenly.

Broil for 8 to 10 minutes, until brown. Serve with sauce.
