Ingredients

  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 shallot,minced
  • pinch of saffron,about 20 threads
  • pinch of turmeric
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp butter
  • salt,tabasco to taste
  • 4 basil leaves,sliced1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 4 cherry tomatoes,thinly sliced,for garnish

Step 1

Add the wine and shallot to a medium heavy-bottom saucepan and bring to a boil.Add the saffron and turmeric and reduce by half.Add the cream and reduce by half again.Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.Stir in the butter,salt,tabasco and basil leaves.Reserve in a warm place.
