Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 26oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1/4 cup red wine
  • 1 tsp basil
  • Rollitinis:
  • 1 8oz package lasagna noodles
  • 16 oz ricotta cheese
  • 8 oz shredded Italian blend cheese
  • 8 oz Monterrey and cheddar cheese blend
  • Garlic salt
  • Parsley

Preparation

Step 1

In large skillet cook beef until it is no longer pink; drain. Add spaghetti sauce and basil. Use wine to rinse jar and add to sauce. Simmer until ready to use.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Prepare 8-10 noodles as directed. Lay noodles flat on aluminum foil. On dry flat noodle, spread ricotta cheese along entire length. Next, cover the noodles with sprinkles of each cheese blend. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the tops, then season with garlic, salt, & parsley. Roll each noodle up onto itself tightly.

In a 9 x 13 baking dish spread a small amount of sauce along the bottom of the pan (this will keep the rollitinis from sticking to the bottom of the pan). Arrange rollitinis onto the sauce closely, but do not let them touch. Make sure you put the ending of the roll towards the bottom of the pan so they won't unroll while cooking.

Pour additional sauce over the rolls and cover them completely. This will ensure that the noodles will not get hard while they bake.

Bake for 45 minutes.
