Ingredients

    onion

  • 1

    stalk celery, diced

  • 1

    T vegetable oil

  • 1 1/2

    lb. ground beef

  • 1/2

    lb ground veal

  • 1/2

    C matzoh meal

  • 2

    large eggs

  • 1

    T ketchup

  • 1

    t worcestershire sauce

  • pepper to taste

  • 2

    hard boiled eggs (optional)

  • 1

    8 oz can tomato sauce

Directions

1. Saute the onion and celery in to oil until the vegetables are soft. Drain and mix with the meats, matzoh meal, eggs, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, pepper. Work well with your hands. 2. Form the meat into a long rectangular loaf, placing hard boiled eggs in middle and put in a loaf pan. Cover and let sit in refridgerator several hours. 3. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. After 45 minutes, pour off fat and cover with the tomato sauce and continue baking 15 minutes more.
