Ingredients

  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 1/4 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp. curry powder
  • 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 green chillies , lengthwise
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • salt t o taste
  • 1/2 tsp coriander seeds powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds.
When the seeds crackle add the turmeric, curry and green chillies and sauté a minute.

Add the cabbage, potato and salt, mix well. Cover and cook on a high flame for 8 to 10 minutes or till the cabbage are tender.

Add the coriander seeds powder, chilli powder and sugar, mix well and cook on low heat for more 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring once in between.

Serve hot.
