Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground meat
- 4 large cloves garlic -- minced
- 1 cup finely minced onions
- 2 to 4 Tablespoons chili powder
- Salt and pepper -- to taste
- 1 to 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 to 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- pinch cayenne pepper
- pinch sage -- oregano, cinnamon
- 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 Tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 3 Tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 28 ounce can stewed tomatoes
- 2 cans black beans or kidney beans -- drained

Preparation
Step 1
In a large Dutch oven, saute the meat. Move the meat to the side, and in the same pan, saute the onions and garlic until they soften. Add in the spices and water, wine vinegar, tomatoes and tomato paste. Cook 5-10 minutes then add the beans. Simmer 30 minutes and then adjust seasonings.
