Ingredients
- 1 c. Elbow macaroni
- 1/4 c. sliced onion
- 2 cans (7 oz.) chunk style tuna, drained
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 5 Tbsp. butter/oleo
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- l/2 c. seasoned dry breadcrumbs
- 3/4 c. grated Sharp Cheddar
- 1/4 c. unsifted flour cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook macaroni and drain.
2. Pre-heat oven to 375 deg. In 2 qt. casserole dish toss macaroni with tuna.
3. Melt butter in saucepan. Toss I Tbsp. melted butter with bread crumbs in small bowl, set aside. In rest of hot butter, saute onion until golden.
4. Remove from heat. Add flour, salt, pepper, stirring until
smooth. Gradually stir in milk. Bring to boiling, boil 1 minute; reduce heat. Add cheese, stirring until its melted.
5, Pour cheese sauce over tuna mixture. Toss well.
6. Sprinkle buttered crumbs over top. Bake until golden brown
and bubbly, 20 minutes.
