Ingredients

  • 12 oz can evaporated milk
  • 2 TBS corn starch
  • 1 TBS vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp white pepper
  • pinch of sugar
  • 4-6 mushrooms (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 16oz bag frozen green beans (thawed)
  • 1 can fried onions

Preparation

Step 1

In medium saucepan, whisk milk and corn starch until smooth. Whisk in oil, onion powder, salt, pepper, and mushrooms. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring often to prevent sticking.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, green beans, and 3/4 cup onions in a 2-qt baking dish.

Bake for 25 minutes. Stir and sprinkle top with remaining onions. Bake additional 5 minutes.
