  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. dill seeds
  • 1 tea. salt
  • 1 tea. dried dill
  • 3/4 tea. baking soda
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1 12 can beer

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom and 1/2" up the sides of a 9x5x3" loaf pan; set aside.

In a large bowl stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, dill seeds, salt, dried dill, and baking soda. Add cheddar cheese and pepper jack cheeses; toss gently to coat. Stir in beer until combined (batter will be very thick). Spoon batter into the prepared pan, spreading evenly.

Bake about 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes. Remove bread from pan. Cool completely on wire rack.

Tightly wrap bread and let stand at room temperature.
