  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1/2 tea. cumin
  • 2 cups dry Uncle Ben's converted rice
  • 2 1/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 can (16 oz) tomato sauce
  • salt to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in garlic and cumin; saute 30 seconds. Add rice; stir to coat grains. Stir in broth and tomato sauce; bring to a boil.

Cover rice mixture; reduce heat to low. Cook rice for 20 minutes, remove from heat.

Let rice stand, covered, for 5 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork. Season with salt to taste.
