Apple Slab Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 box refrigerated pie crust, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 Tbls. all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 &1/2 Tbls. lemon juice
  • 9 cups thinly sliced apples
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbls. milk

Heat oven to 450. On lightly floured surface, unroll and stack crusts on on top of the other. Roll out to 17x12 rectangle. Fit into 15x10x1 inch pan. Press into corners. Fold extra crust under, even with edges of pan
in small bowl mix granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and lemon juice. I did this in a gallon ziplock bag. add apples and shake or stir until apples are coated. Spoon or pour into pan.
Bake for 33 to 38 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly. Cool on rack for 45 minutes.
In small bowl mix powdered sugar and milk till well blended. Drizzle over pie. Glaze is set in about 30 minutes.
