Refrigerator Sweet Dough

My mom's recipe

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup Shortening or margarine
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tsp. salt
• 1 cup boiling water
• Mix together and cool to luke warm.
• 2 cake yeast in 1/2 cup luke warm water
• 4 eggs, beaten
• 7 1/2 cups sifted flour (may need more) alternate with 1 cup water.

Preparation

Step 1

In very large mixing bowl cream together shortening, sugar and salt, add boiling water and stir until mixture is smooth.

Mix yeast with luke warm water, dissolve and mix cooled shortening mixture, beaten eggs, and alternate flour and 1 cup water.
Do not make as stiff as bread dough; more like fruit cake mix.
