Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Ingredients

• 2 eggs
• 1/4 cup water
• 1 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
• 1/2 tsp garlic salt
• 2/3 cup all purpose flour
• 1/3 cup corn starch
• 20 oz pkg mozzarella cheese sticks
• 1 qt vegetable oil

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl (wide enough to set cheese sticks into) beat the eggs and water together.

In one pie pan, mix together bread crumbs and garlic salt.

In another pie pan, mix flour and corn starch.

In a large sauce pan, heat oil to 365 degrees.

One at a time, coat cheese sticks in flour mixture, then egg mixture, then bread crumbs. Place in hot oil and cook for about 30 seconds.

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve with marinara sauce.
