Kenwood Orange Chip Cake

Ingredients

• 4 oz marg
• 4 oz caster sugar
• 4 oz SR flour sieved
• 2 eggs
• 1 tbsp (20ml) orange juice
• grated rind 1/2 orange
• 2 oz chocolate
• 2 oz walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Beat margarine, sugar and orange rind until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating to a smooth consistency.

Add the flour, chocolate, nuts and orange juice and mix on minimum speed to incorporate - do not overmix.

Bake in two 6 1/2" (17cm) sandwich tins for 25 minutes at 375F. Or bake in a 17cm square tin (6 1/2")

Sandwich together with orange butter icing.
