Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup butter
  • 8 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 TBS cornstarch
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tsp cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 F.
Combine first 4 ingredients then cut in butter until crumbly.
Pres half crumb mixture into 9x13 pan.
Cover with apples.
In saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, water, vanilla, and cinnamon. Bring to boil, cook and stir for 2 min or until thick.
Pour over apples, sprinkle remaining crumb on top.
Bake 60-65 min and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
