Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 to 4 3 1/2 to 4 pounds pork baby back ribs, cut into 1-rib portions
  • 2 cups bottled picante sauce or salsa
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon quick-cooking tapioca
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Step 1

Preheat broiler. Place ribs on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 6 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until brown, turning once. Transfer ribs to a 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.
In a medium bowl combine picante sauce or salsa, honey, tapioca, and ginger. Pour sauce over ribs.
Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 6 to 7 hours or on high-heat setting for 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Skim fat from sauce. Serve sauce with ribs.
