Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/3 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp salt

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses, water and egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, giner, cinnamon and salt. Add to creamed mixture and beat untill combined. Pour into greased 15 X 10 X 1 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 18-22 minutes.
