Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 6 egg whites
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • peppermint candies

Preparation

Step 1

ift sugar with cream of tartar and set aside.
In large bowl with electric mixer on high speed- beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Sprinkle in sugar mixture 1 tbsp at a time. beating until meringue forms stiff peaks. Beat in vanilla.
Decorate with crumbled candies.

Bake 2 hours at 200 degrees. Put on parchment paper on cookie sheet so it doesn't stick. Cool on wire racks
