Pizzelle

This is a classic recipe. Granny Ward makes it for any gathering and the little kids love them. We use anise, (and sometimes add an extra tsp) but if you aren’t an anise fan, substitute vanilla or almond, or orange extract and add some zest.
The batter can be refrigerated.

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup s sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla, anise
- 1/2 cup oil, or butter (melted)

Mix well, place about 1 TBS on a heated pizzelle iron and bake 30 seconds or less. Squeeze the iron hard to make them very thin! The first one is usually messy,
