Oven Steamed King or Snow Crab Legs

Invite your friends over for a "finger food" dinner of crab legs, corn on the cob and crusty French bread.

Ingredients
- 1-5 lb. crab--preferrably king crab (3/4 to 1 ob. king crab legs or 1 pd. snow crab legs per serving.
- Clarified butter

Step 1
Heat oven to 450.
Thaw crab legs, if frozen; rinse.
Arrange in shallow baking pan.
Add hot water to fill pan 1/8 deep. Cover with foil.
Bake until just heated through. (7-10 minutes)
To serve: Arrange crab on serving platter; garnish with lemon wedges. Serve not with Clarified Butter, and have scissors or nut crackers ready to split.
Clarified Butter:
Melt butter completely over low heat. Remove from heat; let stand a few minutes, allowing milk solids to settle to the bottom. Skim foam from top. Pour off clear liquid (clarified butter); discard milk solids.
