Sausages with Warm Spicy Slaw

Ingredients
- 4 Italian sausages
- 1/4 cup [50 mL] water
- 1/2 green cabbage
- 1/4 teaspoon [2 mL] a chili flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon [1 mL] ground cumin
- 2 T each white vinegar and granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon [2 mL] salt
- 2 green onions

Preparation
Step 1
1. Using a Single Pan, lightly coat a large frying pan with oil and set over medium heat.
2. Slice each sausage into 4, then add.
3. Cook until well browned all over, turning occasionally, from 5 to 7 minutes.
4. Add water.
5. Cover and continue cooking until sausages are cooked through, about five more minutes.
6. Meanwhile, add thinly shredded cabbage. It should measure about cups [1.75 L].
7. Then add to sausage along with chili flakes, cool in, vinegar, salt and sugar. Sliced green onions and add half.
8. Stir often until cabbage is as tender as you like, 5 to 8 more minutes.
9. Sprinkle with remaining onions.
10. Delicious with mashed potato.
