- 2 lbs frozen hasbrowns
- 1 500 ml sour cream
- 2 tins cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, grated, divided
