Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb hamburger, lean
- 1 lb bulk Italian sausage
- 1 large can crushed tomatoes
- 1-6 oz can tomato paste
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1-2 large bay leaves
- 1 lb oven ready lasagna noodles
- 1 container Ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 large package of grated Mozarella cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Brown hamburger, sausage, onion, and garlic until browned. Drain off excess grease.
Add tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings. Simmer until sauce is well blended. May need to add a little water.
Place ricotta in a bowl and beat in an egg.
Spray lasagna pan with non-stick cooking spray. Begin with a light layer of meat sauce in bottom of pan, then arrange lasagna noodles over top. Layer more meat sauce, ricotta cheese, and mozarella cheese. Repeat for two more layers so that you have at least three layers, ending up with mozarella cheese on top.
Bake for 45 minutes or until lasagna noodles are tender, at 325 degrees.
