Ingredients
- 1 Lb. Hershey Bar (ground or grated)
- 9 oz. slivered almonds
- 2 C. Sugar
- 1 Lb. butter or margarine

Step 1
Mix chocolate and almonds. Spread 1/2 of this mixture on jelly roll pan.
Mix sugar and butter. Place in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Continue cooking, stirring constantly until 300° registers on a candy thermometer or a small amount dropped in cold water forms hard ball. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Pour over chocolate-almond mixture on jelly roll pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate-almond mixture over candy. Cover with two pieces of wax paper. Press nuts and chocolate into candy. Cool. Break into pieces.
