Braswell's Pear Preserve Cake

Ingredients
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2.5 c. all-purpose flour, divided
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 c. Braswell's Pear Preservs
- Garnish: confectioners' sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 13x9x2 inch baking pan; set aside.
In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluff, 2 to 34 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Set aside.
In another bowl, combine 2 c. flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. Add to butter mixture alternately with buttermilk. Mix just until blended after each addition. Add vanilla, stirring to combine. Set aside.
Dredge pecans and raisins in remaining 1/2 c. flour. Add pecan misture and pear preserveds to batter, stirring to combine. Pour batter into prepared baking pan.
Bake until a wooden pick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean, 50 to 55 minutes. Garnish with confectioners' sugar, if desired.
