Ingredients

    cups flour

  • 1/2

    tsp baking powder

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 12

    tbs unsalted butter, softened

  • 2/3

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    tsp vanilla

  • Assorted jams for filling

  • Confectioner's sugar for dusting( optional)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment. Whisk flour, baking powder and salt.In a electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add half of the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, then mix in reamining dry ingredients. Knead a few times by hand o bring dough together 2. Roll tsps of dough into balls and place 1/2" apart on cookie sheets. Make a indentation with the end of a wooden spoon. Fill each indentation with a scant 1/8 tsp of jam 3. bake until edges of cookies are golden 15-20 minutes. Let cool 2 minutes on baking sheets, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioner's sugar if desired 3. Store in a airtight container with waxed paper between layers
