Rolls, Raised Rolls

From Edith Gibson to Mae Rodewald- Mae was my Mother.
she loved to bake bread and as a kid we loved to eat it.
This can be made into any kind of a roll you like. just make them in any shape or size - and let them raise.

Ingredients
- 1 Cup Warm milk
- 2 Tbsp shortening
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tsp salt
- 1 Pkg Yeast
- 1/4 Cup warm water
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- 3 1/2 Cups flour

Preparation
Step 1
Heat 1 cup milk until hot (not Boiling)
Stir in shortening and sugar set aside to cool.
Measure flour in large bowl, add salt.
Dissolve yeast in warm water.
Add egg to milk mixture and check temperature, it must be warm. Mix milk mixture to flour, Stir well.
Let stand in warm place, until it doubles it's size.
Use flour on hands and board to shape in buns.
Let stand in warm place again, doubling in size.
Bake 30 minutes @ 350 degrees
