Ingredients

  • 4 liters (5 & 1/3 bottles 750ml) Red Wine ~ merlot, shiraz or syrah
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 2 Cups Orange Juice
  • 2 Oranges, sliced thin
  • 15 whole cloves
  • 1 lemon, sliced thin
  • 6 Cinnamon sticks
  • 3/4 tsp all spice
  • 1 to 2 cups of Brandy or Vodka

Preparation

Step 1

Mix everything except Brandy in a big pot & heat on low/med OR a crockpot but don't let it boil. Once the liquid is steaming hot, keep it on for another 30 minutes. Add Brandy or Vodka, then taste. Add more brandy and more sugar if needed.
Bottle it when cool and serve warm when you are in need of a glass. enjoy.
