  • 5 potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste and add chili powder
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • 1 cup pea flour for batter

Preparation

Step 1

Batter
Add water to the pea flour with salt and chili powder to taste. Make the batter and semi liquid, dip the potato balls into the batter and fry them in hot oil until golden brown. Drain the oil and serve hot with ketchup.

Method
Boil the potatoes and mash them into small pieces. In a pan heat 1 teaspoon oil and fry mustard seed and onions until golden brown. Add mashed potatoes, salt turmeric powder and chili powder. Cook covered on medium heat until the mixture blends and is cooked, remove from the pan and make it into small balls when cool.
