Czeck Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 lb butter
• 1 C sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 2 C flour
• 1 C chopped walnuts
• 1/2 C strawberry jam

Preparation

Step 1

1. Set oven at 325*.
2. Grease 8 in square pan.
3. In a bowl cream butter until soft.
4. Gradually add sugar. Cream until light and fluffy.
5. Add egg yolks and blend well.
6. Gradually add the flour and mix thoroughly.
7. Fold in chopped nuts.
8. Spoon half the batter into the cake pan. Spread evenly.
9. Top with strawberry jam.
10. Cover with remaining dough.
11. Bake 1 hour or until lite brown.
12. Remove from oven, cool and cut into 1x2 in bars to make 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
