Ingredients
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3 Tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
- 2 Eggs separated
- 1 Cup Milk
- 3 Tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon rind
- 2 Tablespoons melted butter.

Preparation
Step 1
Sift together sugar, cornstarch and salt.
Bit til foamy 2 egg yolks.
Stir in 1 cup milk.
Slowly stir egg mixture into sugar mixture.
Mix in 3 Tablespoons lemon juice, 1 teaspoon lemon rind and 2 Tablespoons melted butter.
Beat to soft peak 2 egg whites.
Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar.
Fold whites inot lemon mixture. Turn into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Set in pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees until firm and well browned, about 50 minutes.
